For over 50 years, Morocco has been illegally occupying the Western Sahara. Companies like Siemens profit. Our event wants to shed light into a decades long occupation that remains largely overlooked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\ud83c\udfa4 Featuring Najla Mohamed-Lamin, a Sahrawi human rights activist, educator, and advocate dedicated to women\u2019s rights and environmental issues and leading voice of the struggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\ud83c\udfac The evening will begin with a film screening \u201cInsumisas\u201d, a moving documentary about the women\u2019s fight against Morocco\u2019s illegal occupation of the Western Sahara. Following, we will have a discussion with Najla about green colonialism, the connection between the Sahrawi struggle and the Palestinian struggle and the role of women at the forefront.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
